ANWAR'S TRIAL ENTERS ITS SEVENTH DAY TODAY

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- The trial of former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on four charges of corrupt practice in the High Court here entered its seventh day today.
The second prosection witness, DSP Abdul Aziz Hussin of the Police Special Branch, continued to testify under examination-in-chief when court resumed proceedings at 9.10am.

Anwar, who is being remanded at the Sungai Buloh Prison, arrived at the courthouse at 8.36am. His wife, Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and their dayghter, Nurul Nuha, arrived at the courthouse at 8.51am .

Twenty out of the 45 members of the public who joined the queue early, were allowed into the courtroom to witness the proceedings. Five unofficial observers including an official of the British high commission are also attending the trial.

Local and foreign journalists, the largest group at the trial, were allowed into the courtroom at 8.15am. -- BERNAMA
